Asheville starter Dan Houston (2-4) allowed four hits in seven innings to get the win. He had relief help from Isaiah Froneberger, Tyler Trice and Adam Jorgenson. Jorgenson picked up his ninth save by retiring the Legends in order in the ninth.
Jordan Lyles (2-6) was the starter and losing pitcher for Lexington, despite striking out 10 batters in six innings.
Asheville scored its first run in the fifth inning. After Tyler Massey singled, Patrick Rose bunted into a force play. Jimmy Cesario singled to right field, moving Rose to second. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch, and Rose scored on a single by Carlos Martinez.
In the sixth inning, Scott Robinson singled, stole second and was sacrificed to third by Thomas Field. David Christensen followed with a single, scoring Field to give the Tourists a 2-0 lead. Christensen went to second on an infield out and scored Asheville's final run when Rose doubled.
