MEDIA EVENTS: *Staff from the Offshore Super Series (OSS) will host pace boat rides around the Lake Cumberland Grand Prix 2010 race course on Lake Cumberland for attending media at starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 4.
*OSS dive teams will also be on hand Friday, June 4, to conduct “dunker” testing for race teams who are participating in the race. Media are welcome to attend these testing events starting at 10:30 a.m. Suspended on pontoons, the "cockpit” sinks and floods to the dash when inverted. Under controlled conditions, the race crews will be sitting in a realistic cockpit side by side, being inverted with water flooding the cockpit, and will work as a team to self evacuate from the "boat".
*All powerboats will also participate in a Parade of Boats on U.S. 27 through Somerset starting at 6 p.m. at Race Village at The Center for Rural Development, located at Traffic Light 15.
