Bourbon Women “Woman of Many Flavors” Event on May 17 Kicks Off Public Programming at the Distilled Spirits Epicenter

LOUISVILLE, KY (May 9, 2012)---On Thursday, May 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., join Bourbon Women at the Distilled Spirits Epicenter for the “Woman of Many Flavors” cocktail class led by Epicenter founder David Dafoe and Maker’s Mark senior heritage team member Jane Conner. Attendees will learn new ways to enhance the subtle flavors of bourbon and will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $30 for Bourbon Women members and $75 for non-members, who will be signed up for Bourbon Women membership as part of the ticket price. Bourbon Women is an organization of female bourbon enthusiasts who enjoy educational, networking and charitable events. The group strives to preserve the heritage that surrounds the making and responsible enjoyment of America’s only native spirit. Activities include exclusive members-only events at distilleries and other one of a kind events, discounts to key bourbon events and bourbon specials and website and E-blast information on trends and products. Membership is only $50 per year, and proceeds from Bourbon Women activities go toward a scholarship for a female student through Sullivan University.
