Stephanie and Dan Mihaila had heard stories about one another for years from a mutual friend in Tennessee. The mutual friend was convinced the two would get along perfectly, and she was determined to have them meet. It finally happened in Spring 2011.
Stephanie visited her friend in Nashville and finally met Dan, the man she’d heard about for so long. Turns out, the mutual friend was right—
Stephanie and Dan were a perfect match.
The two share a passion for the Bluegrass State, as well as a love for God and helping their fellow man. Dan is a Minister and Stephanie is a Nurse Practitioner. The two began dating and on Christmas Day 2012, Dan proposed to Stephanie at her parents’ home in Hindman, Kentucky. It was important to him to involve her parents in this significant moment and he asked for Stephanie’s hand with her parents looking on.
Stephanie and Dan were married August 24, 2013 at Montgomery Baptist Church in Hindman, KY. The location held an emotional connection for the couple, as the church was the very same one where Stephanie had grown up.
The day of the wedding, Stephanie and Dan exchanged personalized gifts. Dan presented his bride-to-be with a monogrammed clutch that included the initial from her new last name, and Stephanie presented her groom-to-be with monogrammed cuff links. This brief meeting between the couple was a significant, private moment on their special day.
The wedding and reception were carefully planned and orchestrated with the assistance of family and friends. The marriage ceremony took place in the evening, illuminated by candles and sparkle. One of the couples’ favorite decorations was an enormous “M” bedazzled with silver crystal studded material that was suspended over their heads. A string trio supplied beautiful music, adding that extra note of romance.
The bride walked down the aisle in an ivory Pronovias ball gown with feather bodice. She carried a blush and ivory bouquet of roses, as well as a handkerchief belonging to her maternal grandmother. The Vera Wang Blush gowns and ivory rose bouquets of the bridesmaids were the perfect complement to the bridal bouquet. The groom and groomsmen wore ivory colored coats and black tuxedo pants.
The reception shared the same, delicate color scheme. The chairs and tables were white, with the tables topped with ivory tablecloths. The flowers were lush arrangements of blush and ivory Hydrangeas adorned with greenery. The candy bar added an extra touch of sweetness, as the bride and groom shared some of their favorite confections with family and friends. Treasure Bites Catering in London provided a delectable menu. A beautiful wedding cake with four-tiers was designed by Teresa Caudill of Hazard, KY.
The bride and groom enjoyed every moment of their special day. They were grateful to spend it in the company of the family and friends who helped to make every moment even more magical.
