Greer Companies is pleased to announce that Coba Cocina will be featured on the “Keeneland Magazine on TV” airing on Saturday, March 28th, 5:30-6:00pm (ET) on WKYT, and Sunday, March 29th, 6:30-7:00am (ET) on The CW Lexington. The announcement compliments the feature on Coba Cocina in Keeneland Magazine’s Spring 2015 Issue, “Beyond Salsa and Chips” written by Patti Nickell and photographed by Lee Thomas.
“The owners, Phil and Lee Greer, wanted to bring something unique to Lexington with Coba Cocina stating that they wanted ‘to give Lexington something it had never seen the likes of before.’”* They accomplished just that with a soaring dining room in Coba Cocina housing the largest privately owned jellyfish tank in the world. Up a sleek glass staircase is Cobar Cantina, a laid back Latin lounge offering cocktails, live music and a small plates along with Coba’s full menu. Downstairs is Cocoh! Confectioner, a bright, playful gelateria, café and bakery serving hand crafted gelato, premium coffees and a variety of cheesecakes.

It’s been our mission to open a world class restaurant in our hometown. So we’ve worked, waited and recruited an A-list culinary team that’s as serious about doing it right as we are. Now that the food is right and every last detail is perfect, we’re ready to give Coba to Kentucky.”
Coba’s most recent addition, Executive Chef, Jonathan Lundy, has brought that same level of passion to Coba’s menu. “My father and I wanted a restaurant that had our own unique stamp on it,” said Lee Greer. “Jonathan feels the same way about his food. Together we felt we had something very special.”* According to Lundy, “I don’t see this as a Mexican restaurant,” he said, “but rather as a culinary exploration of the Americas.”*
