The 2015 Taste of the Bluegrass showcases the very best food and drinks Central Kentucky has to offer. More than 60 great food and beverage purveyors; plus, live music, and a silent auction all in one place! On Friday, May 15, 2015, more than 1,200 people will gather for the premier tasting event of the Bluegrass at Keeneland’s Keene Barn and Entertainment Center. A few of the featured businesses include Buffalo Trace Distillery, Chuy’s, Country Boy Brewing, Edible Arrangements, Limestone Blue, Noodles & Company, North Lime Coffee & Donuts, Old 502 Winery, and West Sixth Brewing and so many more.
Tickets for the 2015 Taste of the Bluegrass are available at all Lexington Central Bank locations and online at www.GodsPantryFoodBank.org. Individual tickets are $85 and will be available at the door.
Though the event centers on tastings from food and beverage purveyors, there is also a large silent auction and fantastic live music, featuring “The Fever”, inside the tent.
Attendees are invited to share their experiences on social media by using the #TasteoftheBluegrass hashtag and tagging the Food Bank (@GPFoodBank). The Food Bank will be live tweeting and sharing food and drink items on Instagram from all stops throughout the sprawling event, so follow in advance!
Last year’s Taste of the Bluegrass event generated more than $138,000, which God’s Pantry Food Bank put right to work. For every $10 given, we are able to distribute $100 worth of food. That means more than $1 million worth of groceries found their way to families in need as a result of the Taste of the Bluegrass last year.
