In recognition of Veterans Day, the Lexington Legends will introduce a five-game ticket package for 2016 that will include Military Appreciation Night and patriotic holidays, as well as Opening Night and the final home game of the season.
The five games in the package, which is available this week only, are:
Opening Night, Thursday, April 7, 7:05 p.m.  -  The Legends, class A affiliate of the World Series champion Kansas City Royals, will open the home season against the Lakewood BlueClaws, an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 7:05 p.m. - Legends vs. the Greensboro Grasshoppers, an affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
Military Appreciation Night, Saturday, June 25, 6:35 p.m. - Legends vs. the Hagerstown Suns, an affiliate of the Washington Nationals.  Legends players will wear special camouflage jerseys which will be sold at auction, with proceeds to benefit a veterans-related organization.  (The 2015 recipient was Wounded Warrior Project.) 
Independence Day celebration, Sunday, July 3, 6:35 p.m. – Legends vs. the Rome Braves, an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.   The Independence Day fireworks show will follow the game.
Final regular season home game, Thursday, September 1, 7:05 p.m. - Legends vs. the Augusta GreenJackets, an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.  
The ticket packages are priced at $50 each and will include a patriotic-themed red Legends mini-bat.    
“These days have produced some great memories for our fans over the years, from camouflage jerseys for the players to World War II veterans throwing a ceremonial first pitch,” said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea.    “We’ve always been proud to honor our veterans, and this is a good way for fans to make plans to be at the ballpark on these special days.”
