We have had plenty of gloom and rain over the last few weeks, but our newest outfit is making the most of dreary days. This week we are dreaming of London, thanks to a Chicwish skirt that stole our travel loving hearts. Anyone who has visited England knows it isn't exactly known for its sunshine. But it is known for great style, even on the darkest of days. Our street scene midi-skirt is printed with red telephone booths and double decker buses which are two things that everyone naturally associates with British culture. Pulling those bold shades of red out even more is an everyday turtleneck by Ann Taylor. A solid turtleneck is always a good piece to have in your wardrobe because it works well with so many things. Usually we would go for boots when thinking of more somber weather, but we wanted to dress up our look a bit more. These suede Gianvito Rossi sandals may not be the best for jumping puddles, but they might just stop traffic. For our bag choice, we went for one of Claire Vivier's fabulous fold over clutches (which you can find locally at Omar & Elsie) that perfectly complements our color palette. Our makeup needed to be kept classy and polished, which of course called for a matte red lip, and we just love this ultra glam shade by NYX. And of course, just in case it starts to sprinkle, we had to have a stylish umbrella in hand. No one does them better than Kate Spade and this "Rain Check" one from her sayings collection is the perfect accessory for our posh ensemble. Whether you're on your way to afternoon tea or just out to say "Cheerio!" to your chaps, our outfit is sure to have London Calling.
