Distribution of Sharing Thanksgiving baskets to 4,600 Fayette County families in need
Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24
9 – 11 am, 1 – 3 pm and 5 – 7 pm
Imani Baptist Church, 1555 Georgetown Road
Marian Guinn, CEO of God’s Pantry Food Bank, will be at all sessions. Interviews with clients receiving baskets may be available during distribution.
Each year, thousands of Fayette County families come to God’s Pantry Food Bank in need of food. This Thanksgiving, more than 4,600 families requested assistance through this program.  This will be the 22nd year God’s Pantry Food Bank has organized this community wide Thanksgiving grocery distribution.
With the support of hundreds of volunteers and participants, our social service partners in Lexington, and thousands of financial contributors, we are determined to help as many Fayette County families as possible celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a traditional holiday meal.
God’s Pantry Food Bank purchases all of the food for this program. We still need financial donations to fund the Sharing Thanksgiving distribution. A forty dollar gift ($40.00) is all it takes to sponsor a family this Thanksgiving.
Currently, financial contributions are not keeping pace with the need in Fayette County as well as the other 49 counties we serve. Donations can be made by mailing a check to: God’s Pantry Food Bank, 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington, KY 40511, or through a secure online donation at godspantry.org.
For more information visit our website at www.godspantryfodobank.org or call Rebecca at 859-288-5325. If you need information during any of the distribution times next week, Rebecca can be reached at 859-797-6761.
