LEX AND THE CITY: DECEMBER

Christmas time is a comin’ and along with it a slew of holiday events. Lexington is spreading merriment all over town and there’s a little something for everyone.

For the movie buff, the newest Star Wars installment will hit theaters on the 18th. The force will awaken with the same beloved characters fans have rushed to theaters to see for decades.

For the kids, what sounds more fun than a train ride with Santa himself? The Santa Express is coming to town, where little ones can hang with ‘ole Saint Nick while sipping hot cocoa in their pajamas. Santa will also be checking his naughty or nice list at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, so get your wish lists ready.

As for New Year’s, there are plenty of parties around town, but none sound quite as spectacular as the Grand Reserve’s Masquerade Ball. A night of glamorous dressing complete with a mysterious mask, popping champagne, and dancing into 2016 is not a bad way to wrap up the year. However you choose to spend your festive days, December is sure to be a month to remember.
