WINE OF THE MONTH: NOVEMBER 2015

A perfect example of Lodi terroir, Old Sout Pinot Noir expresses big fruit and ample richness for the varietal. The nose pops with lots of floral tones, cherry, raspberry and hints of blackberry. The blackberry notes, from the blended Zinfandel, gives this win its distinct Lodi character. The palate is soft and rounde, with good weight for the varietal, that still maintains the gentle acidity in the mid-palate that is distinctively Pinot. This wine will be a welcome friend at your Thanksgiving table, or a wonderful sip through the winter months. It stands up beautifully to rich foods, so bring on the holidays!
