Bluegrass Parkway American Tour


Bluegrass Parkway celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2012 and are the longest continuously performing bluegrass band in Australia. This landmark in Australian bluegrass history has seen the band play at most major and minor folk and country festivals throughout Australia and New Zealand and they have successfully toured bluegrass festivals in the United States on a number on occasions.

LexPhil’s 2014-2015 Season begins with Bolero & Barnatan (Saturday, September 20, 2014) at Singletary Center for the Arts. Pianist Inon Barnatan, recently appointed the New York Philharmonic’s first Artist-in-Association, joins LexPhil for Tchaikovsky’s iconic Piano Concerto No. 1. Gershwin’s Cuban Overture complete the evening with Cuban rhythms, followed by French composer Ravel’s Alborada del gracioso and Bolero. Sunday, September 21, Inon will present an interactive recital for piano students at 2:00 pm at Albert B. Chandler Hospital: Pavillion A. Gershwin: Cuban Overture Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1 Inon Barnatan, piano Ravel: Alborada del gracioso Ravel: Bolero Premium Concert Partner: UK Healthcare Ovation Partner: Hilton Suites Lexington Green Full Series Subscriptions are on sale now to current subscribers. Subscriptions will be available to the public for purchase beginning May 1. 2014. Full Series Subscriptions, which include six concerts and the option of Handel’s Messiah or a New Year’s Eve Celebration, range in price from $140-$410.
