Kentucky Monthly, the commonwealth’s premier statewide magazine, has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours per week) Account Executive in the Louisville Market. This individual would be responsible for developing and strengthening Kentucky Monthly’s advertising relationships in both their local community and throughout the state. Account Executives must be able to understand and communicate both demographics and the features and benefits of Kentucky Monthly products including: print, online/email marketing, smart phone application and sponsorships. |

Responsibilities
• Manage a book of preexisting clients
• Develop new advertising relationships with business in the greater Louisville area through both existing leads and new client prospecting
• Manage ad materials and deadlines for placements sold
• Other needs as determined by the executive team

Qualification Requirements
The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, with an outgoing personality, a strong interest in publishing and will meet the following qualifications:
• A minimum of three-year’s experience working in print advertising sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with an overall attention to detail
• A proven track record of being able to work independently and/or in the field
• Willingness to work with a sense of urgency and be mindful of deadlines
• The ability to work cooperatively with the advertising sales team as a whole to ensure a positive customer experience
• Business-to-business sales experience required. Print media sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required
