The main focus and primary function of this position is to provide support to the Director of Hunter Programs to develop, implement and maintain hunter programs that support the goals and objectives of the organization. The position will work closely with the volunteer and general membership constituencies, as well as the Awards and Marketing departments and the governing body to ensure the programs’ success. |

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Provide support to the Director of Hunter Programs with the development, implementation and maintenance of the USHJA hunter programs, as requested.
Keep website information current and provide content for direct emails and electronic newsletters
Act as a liaison for assigned task forces. Liaison duties include: setup and notifications of conference calls, coordination with the Chair for preparation of meeting materials, conducting research on projects in development, drafting minutes of the conference call, distribution of minutes to committee members and facilitating rule change proposals.
Assist in budget preparation.
Assigned special projects as they arise.
Maintain strict confidentiality pertaining to the all Hunter Program projects
Covers the reception area of the building as needed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
• University graduate or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise.
• Minimum of five years work experience preferably in the hunter/jumper competition environment.
• Working knowledge of the hunter/jumper horse competition environment.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writing. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in unique situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Platform.
