LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky women's basketball signee Linnae (La-NAY) Harper was one of 12 players selected to the 2013 USA Basketball Women's U19 World Championship Team, announced USA Basketball on Sunday. Harper was one of 33 athletes invited to tryouts for the team, which were held May 16-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The 12-member team was selected by the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee, chaired by UT Chattanooga head coach Jim Foster.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky women's basketball junior DeNesha Stallworth is one of 31 top student-athletes in the country who have accepted invitations to participate in the 2013 USA Basketball Women's World University Games Team trials. Trials will take place May 16-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee issued the invitations.

Kentucky women's basketball signee Linnae (La-NAY) Harper is one of 34 top athletes in the country age 19-years-old or younger (born on or after Jan. 1, 1994), who have accepted invitations to participate in the 2013 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team trials, USA Basketball today announced. Trials to select the 12-member USA squad will be held May 16-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo. Invitations to the trials were issued by the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee.

University of Kentucky women's basketball senior standout A'dia Mathies (pronounced AH-dee-uh MATH-is) was the 10th overall selection in the 2013 Women's National Basketball Association Draft as she was chosen by the Los Angeles Sparks in the first round on Monday night in Bristol, Conn.

A'dia Mathies has helped turn Kentucky into a contender during her career. The senior just couldn't get the Wildcats over the hump to their first Final Four. She scored 14 points in Kentucky's 83-53 loss to Connecticut on Monday night in the Bridgeport regional final. It was the second straight season that the Wildcats lost to the Huskies with a national semifinal berth on the line. "It's been a great turnaround," Mathies said. "I'm glad I can leave here and look back and know that Kentucky is a national powerhouse now."

Jennifer O'Neill scored 19 points and A'dia Mathies added 16 to help Kentucky hold off Delaware 69-62 Saturday in the Bridgeport regional semifinals, bringing to an end the stellar career of Elena Delle Donne. It's the second straight season that Kentucky (30-5) has advanced to the regional final. The Wildcats, who already have a school record for victories, lost to UConn last season by 15 points. Delle Donne had 33 points for Delaware (32-4) and finished her career as the fifth all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. She passed former stars Cheryl Miller, Chamique Holdsclaw and Maya Moore on Saturday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the second straight season, University of Kentucky women's basketball standout A'dia Mathies has been named one of 12 finalists for The State Farm Wade Trophy, as announced by The State Farm Wade Trophy Committee, along with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the National Association for Girls and Women in Sport. The award is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding NCAA Division I women's basketball player.
