The report gathered information from 11 regions including Europe, China, India, Japan and Russia. Globally, silver wins the color popularity contest at 26 percent. Closely following is black with 24 percent of the vote, gray and white tied at 16 percent, red 6 percent, blue 5 percent, brown/beige 3 percent, green 2 percent, and yellow/gold 1 percent. However, in North America white takes the vote with 21 percent, followed by black, silver and gray.

The chart above reflects national color preferences. I have a feeling that the results may differ quite a bit when we turn the question over to the Big Blue Nation. I've always been a fan of blue cars myself, and I'm sure Coach Cal would agree!
