Heather & Ryan

Heather and Ryan wanted Southern Chic to punctuate every detail of their October wedding. Set against the enchanting backdrop of the family’s farm and restored barn, guests were seated in rows of white chivari chairs decorated with white hydrangeas. Heather and her father entered behind the wheel of a vintage forest green Chevrolet pick-up truck that belonged to Ryan’s grandfather, evoking tears from the groom. The couple exchanged their vows under an oak tree, with orchids and crystals dripping from its branches.

The bridesmaids wore coffee-colored dresses, to complement the weddings theme colors of apple green and coffee. Ryan and his groomsmen played into the casual chic feel of the day by wearing Converse shoes.

The day was a charming mix of town and country, with Heather’s elegant pleated silk gown contrasted against the beautiful, rustic setting. Details of the wedding were handled by Kristen Settles of Crème Planning.

The beautiful reception was held inside the barn, which greeted guests with cocktails and music by soloist Andrea Johnson. Leather lounge seating areas, a baby grand piano, and 600 candles floating in the barn rafters within glass bubbles helped make the rustic setting feel completely elegant. A horseshoe shaped ice sculpture dazzled guests with its frozen images of Heather and Ryan suspended within.

A coffee bar provided guests with iced coffee with labels customized for the wedding while a photo booth allowed guests to capture the beautiful moment. Signature mojitos in mason jars were served alongside the white-glove service of Bayou Bluegrass Catering. The live band, Groove Addictions, helped guests celebrate the union of Heather and Ryan in true style!
