Come join us for the annual Ball Homes Night of Hope at the Lexington Opera House! Ball Homes Night of Hope is the Hope Center’s premier fundraising event that features beautiful music, client stories, and a keynote speaker who has experienced homelessness and/or one of its causes. More than 700 community and business leaders attend this engaging event each fall. Proceeds from the event benefit clients and programs of the Hope Center.
We are excited for this year’s featured speaker, Tara Conner. Tara is a television personality and recovery advocate. Through her work, she shares her experience, strength, and hope with audiences throughout the United States. Tara was crowned Miss USA in 2006 and entered Caron Treatment Center in December of the same year. She completed treatment for drug and alcohol addiction and has since celebrated 12 years of sobriety.
Tara hopes to raise awareness that addiction is a disease and that many people go on to lead healthy, productive lives in recovery. She especially wants educators, families and professionals to know that sobriety at an early age is achievable and that it greatly enhances life’s possibilities. Her TED Talk, USA Today op. ed. piece and television appearances have helped to shine a light on the Recovery Movement.
In addition to our featured speaker, Hope Center clients will be sharing what it means to have a home and feel at “home” with themselves through their own personal journeys. Their stories are meaningful, emotional, and always an audience favorite.
We hope to see you there!
