OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: PINK TWICE

By Jesse L. Brooks

October has officially arrived and that means we have our minds on pink.

There is no better time to wear the sugary shade than Breast Cancer Awareness month.

This week we are having a beautiful monotone moment that is all about pink power. Starting things off with a fall staple is a cute and cozy sweater. Giambattista Valli's open-knit piece is woven with touches of fluffy mohair and wool, so you can imagine how soft it feels. It's designed in a pretty light-pink hue and has a delicate lace trim at the collar, cuffs and hem. We paired our chic top with a pair of casual, yet sophisticated bubblegum hued pants. Tibi's styling team describes the Fall '18 collection as a "mood-altering color overload," and these light-pink bottoms are sure to lift your spirits. Made from cotton with a touch of stretch, they sit high at the waist and fall to voluminous wide legs. To add in a just a hint of color differentiation, our shoes bring in one of autumn's biggest trends, animal print. Luxuriously crafted in Britain, the 'Vittorio' slingback pumps by Jennifer Chamandi take inspiration from old-world glamour with a modern twist in the form of a circular cut-out heel with fusing animal printed calf hair and powder pink patent leather. For the bag we went for an unexpected 'pop' with a side of color blocking. This 'Bold' bag by Manu Atelier is handcrafted from vegetable tanned suede and leather that's constructed in shades of pink, black and dandelion. Polishing off the accessorizing portion are two tone square frame sunglasses by Dior, which make our ensemble perfect for daytime wear. The beauty for this look is all about skincare. Lancôme's Absolue Precious Cells Revitalizing Rose Lotion Toner is developed with a precious blend of rose extracts, infused with a fresh, comforting gel formula. Whether you're attending a Breast Cancer event or simply showing your support through fashion, this outfit will make people 'Pink Twice' about just how meaningful personal style can truly be.
