Pocketful of Posies
When it comes to ladylike spring fashion, we can never get enough of chic florals. But if brights and pastels aren't exactly your style, there are ways to go dark while staying airy and fresh. The star of this week's ensemble is a perfect example of that. This collared minidress by Self-Portrait features the brand's signature guipure lace, transformed into floral motifs for a wholly charming look. The puff-sleeved piece is fitted at the waist with a grosgrain ribbon insert and falls with a double-tiered skirt that flares out playfully. Adding an eye catching edge to our feet is Alaïa's beloved 'Bombe' sandals. These showstoppers have been crafted in Italy from black suede and finished with button-like straps that mimic the label's signature laser-cut patterns. They're interspersed with polished gunmetal pyramid studs to add a hint of shine. Furthering our accessories, we aimed for a bag that is both petite and polished thus allowing our dress to do all the 'talking.' Wandler's 'Hortensia' mini colorblocked and laquered shoulder bag features a detachable flat leather handle and an adjustable flat leather strap. For a touch of essential elegance, we adore the charm of these painted flower stud earrings from Zenzii; small enough to keep things simple, but stylish enough to make a statement. Getting unexpected with makeup, we took a walk on the wild side with Dior's matte white liquid eyeliner. Not only is a white liner fun for spring, it is a great way to make the eyes 'pop'! A look like this works for many occasions from the office to a party, and you can bet wherever you do decide to wear it, everyone will be completely smitten with your 'Pocketful of Posies'.
