Lexington, KY – Long-time, local Santa, Bill Bryant, along with newly renovated The Campbell House Curio Collection by Hilton, will hold a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 8AM – 1PM at The Campbell House Curio Collection by Hilton located at 1375 South Broadway, Lexington, KY. All proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Molly Reynolds. Molly is six years old, lives in Nicholasville, KY and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in August 2019.
Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer, making up approximately 1/3 of all pediatric cancers.
In the U.S. approximately 3500 children are diagnosed with leukemia each year.
The survival rate in children younger than 15 years old is 90.6%
In all of the initial testing, doctors also discovered a mass on Molly’s left lung and over her heart. Doctors began aggressively treating Molly’s cancer on August 18, right after her diagnosis and will continue to do so. Molly has weekly chemo treatments thru April 2020. At that point, it will be monthly treatments for the next two years.
As it stands now, Molly’s parents are looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills over the next several years along with simply providing for the basic needs of their family.
This year’s breakfast event SOLD OUT in less than one week. Families that made reservations will enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet prepared by The Campbell House; arts / crafts, games, Christmas movies and photos with Santa on a unique, one-of-a-kind set with local photographers, Rick & Amber Rickerson.
Though the event is SOLD OUT, there are other ways to help this sweet, sweet girl and her family. There will be a donation box set up at the Breakfast event that people can drop off a monetary donation. You can also visit the Mighty Molly Maria page on Facebook. There, you can find a link to a GoFundMe account that has been set up in Molly’s name. Lastly, “Mighty Molly” t-shirts are available for purchase thru the Bonfire link that is also on her Facebook page.
The Campbell House Curio Collection by Hilton has completed a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion of the meeting spaces. The breakfast buffet will be held in the brand new ballroom named “The Barn”. The new restaurant is close to completion which will include a “grab & go café’” and bourbon bar. Other renovations will include a new state-of-the-art fitness room and additional enhancements to the guest rooms.
We are asking for any news coverage possible to help spread awareness about Molly and her fight against leukemia. Central Kentucky is a giving, generous community. We are asking for the community’s generosity to help Molly and her family this Christmas season and beyond.
