Bobby Murray
Merrick Inn

Bobby has shown relentless grace for his employees and his community. Not only does he get to know his customers on a personal level, but he takes time to go above and beyond. During COVID-19, he worked tirelessly to feed the community by creating to-go meals picked up curbside and delivered. Once when I was in the hospital, Merrick Inn posted to Facebook about their famous fried chicken night, and I commented on how I wished they could deliver! Within minutes, Bobby delivered a fried chicken meal to my hospital room. That’s the kind, caring person that he is. His parents were the same, and I am sure that they are proud of the man he is has become, continuing their legacy at Merrick Inn even in the most difficult times.

Bobby is a Tate’s Creek graduate and grew up in Lexington with many friends. He worked at his family restaurant while in school, and although privileged, he never took anything for granted. His wife Jennifer works just as hard for the employees, and their family carries the tradition, working in the restaurant.
