The Board of Directors of The Alano Club, a non-profit organization that provides a safe, sober, and supportive environment 365 days a year serving individuals seeking recovery from addiction, is hosting its first annual Celebrity Golf Tournament, Dinner and Live and Online Auction on October 17 and 18, 2021, along with guest speaker Mayor Linda Gorton. The Alano Club will also be launching their capital campaign to refurbish the 30-year plus home of the Alano Club. "Addiction touches everyone in our community directly or indirectly and this is the first time this location has gone through any major renovations; we are very excited about this,” says board member Hacky Kantar.

The recently renovated Campbell House at1375 S. Broadway, in Lexington, Kentucky, will host The Lexington Alano Club Golf Celebrity Classic's Dinner on October 17, 2021 at 6:00pm, along with the live auction of players for the golf tournament from Hall of Fame Jockey's, a Hall of Fame player in Pro Basketball, Football and other Sport Athletics and Celebrities.

Master of Ceremony, Kenny Rice, will introduce Hall of Fame Jockeys, Steve Cauthen, Pat Day, Sandy Hawley, Chris McCarron, Darrel McHargue, Don Pierce, Laffit Pincay, Jr., Alex Solis, and Jacinto Vasquez along with Hall of Fame Pro Basketball Player Dan Issel, to be auctioned off to play with the teams the following day, October 18, 2021, at the Lexington Alano Club Celebrity Golf Classic, which will be held at the Greenbrier Country Club at 2179 Bahama Road in Lexington, Kentucky at 10:30 am Tee off, continental breakfast provided before hand.

The following stars will be participating in the Alano Club Celebrity Golf Classic: Pro Football Players Joe Jacoby, Frank Minnifield, Art Still, Jacob Tamme, Pro Baseball Player Doug Flynn, University of Kentucky Basketball Players Jim Andrews, Sam Bowie, Jack “Goose” Givens, Kyle Macy and Keeneland Jockeys Robby Albarado, Jesus Castanon, David Flores - retired, James Graham, Brian Hernandez, Colby Hernandez, Jeff Johnston - retired, Chris Landeros, Corey Lanerie, Mitchell Murrill, Shane Sellers - retired with special guest Miss Kentucky 2009, Maria Montgomery.
