After two highly acclaimed years, Lexington Restaurant Week® has become an eagerly anticipated event for local diners and restaurateurs.  Modeled after similar events across the nation, Lexington was late to the game, but participation now exceeds many larger cities.   Most likely due to the fact that per capita we have more locally owned restaurants than most cities in the Southeast.

“Our burgeoning restaurant scene is continuing to grow – we have more innovative independent restaurants than most.  These local businesses add not only to our quality of life here in the Bluegrass, they are a huge economic boost attracting new businesses to the region and visitors to our city.”  A reason says Miller that she and her team at Group CJ have continued to orchestrate the event.

BB&T and Maker’s Mark are once again the event sponsors.

Lexington Restaurant Week is designed to highlight what each restaurant does best.  Chefs cook up a $26 pre-fixe, multi-course dinner all 10 days from Thursday July 21st through dinner Saturday July 30th.   Restaurants with lower price points will offer two for $26.  This year one dollar of every special meal going to LexArts.
