Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream will open its second retail location in Lexington, Kentucky, at The Summit at Fritz Farm, a mixed-use experiential development located on the corner of Man O’War and Nicholasville Roads.
The new store will be part of The Summit at Fritz Farm’s innovative Deauville Food Hall that will include a diverse selection of local chef-driven restaurants. This newest location will serve a menu very similar to its flagship store on Manchester Street. It will include craft ice cream, signature sundaes, floats, espresso bar, and hot chocolate bar.
“We are extremely excited to be a part of this innovative development. It’s the perfect next step for Crank & Boom,” said Toa Green, owner of Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream. “The collaborative nature between the restaurateurs in the food hall, along with the folks at Bayer Properties, is going to create something really special for Lexington, providing a very unique experience for diners and food lovers.”
“We welcome Crank & Boom to our growing collection of locally owned businesses coming to The Summit at Fritz Farm,” said Krista Wood, leasing representative for Bayer Properties. “Crank & Boom is an innovative twist on a traditional ice cream shop that embraces Kentucky Proud with its use of local ingredients. It will certainly add to the experience at The Summit at Fritz Farm and be an excellent complement to the other fine food purveyors.”
The Summit at Fritz Farm, a modern, walkable development, will combine national and regional retail brands, local chef-driven concepts, the first food hall concept in the region, Class A office space, luxury apartments and a fashion-inspired boutique hotel. The project is expected to open in March 2017.
