OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: OPPOSITES ATTRACT

By Jesse Brooks

This week's outfit is all about putting together  unexpected pieces for one chic ensemble.
Taking a casual t-shirt and pairing it with dressy pants and a cool shoe can create a unique dynamic, as well as a very stylish one.
Starting off our look, we went for a tee that is not only comfortable, but also statement making. This Oscar de la Renta piece is made from a soft Micro Modal and Supima cotton-blend that is detailed with an embellished broken heart motif. Adding a touch of business, these wide-leg pants by Monse are woven with a classic Prince of Wales check and have a flattering high-rise waist and sporty side stripes. For another element of surprise, we decided to add a bag that you don't see every day. Les Petits Joueurs satchel bag is made of rich suede with fun, furry sides and Lego brick eyes. When it came to shoes, there was no denying how amazing these beauties from Saint Laurent are. Expertly crafted from glossy patent leather, these sandals are set on the label's iconic 'YSL' plaque and have a flattering square toe. Even though we kept our jewelry to a minimum, these Kendra Scott earrings are definitely conversation starters. Subtle metal detailing frames the pentagon shaped stone in Platinum Drusy, offering an artful addition to any look. Since we have those hints of deep red all throughout the ensemble, what better way to tie it all together than with a beautiful lip color? Smashbox's Confession Ultra Slim formula is a full coverage lipstick that will not smudge or feather. It comes encapsulated in a sleek applicator to provide the ultimate control to precisely accentuate, contour and define the lips. If this outfit proves anything, it is that you don't have to follow the rules to look fabulous, and that opposites do in fact attract!
