As Spring fashion starts to roll out, we can't help ourselves from planning outfits perfect for warmer weather and afternoons spent at Keeneland. This week we're focusing on spring classic florals.
As cliche as it might seem, plants and flowers will always be a staple when it comes to spring/summer wardrobes.
Since we aren't quite out of winter yet, we did keep our color story a bit more muted, but still with just enough color to draw a little sunshine. Simone Rocha’s eye-catching floral print debuted on her SS18 runway. Here it appears on a short ruffle sleeved dress crafted from crepe de Chine, tailored to a slim-fit bodice and cut at a midi-length with a ruffled hem. To bring out those sunny pops of marigold, we brought extra splashes of color to our accessories. Gianvito Rossi's sandals are appropriately named the "Glam" style, thanks to their sunflower-yellow satin upper that's adorned with sparkling crystal embellishments. The barely-there style has a seductive profile, with its towering stiletto heel and slim ankle strap with buckle. Bringing even more nature into the mix, Gucci's Broadway satin bag features beautiful metal bees with crystal wings and pearly closure. Since this is a daytime look, sunglasses are a must. Not only is the cat-eye  universally flattering, but they are also a silhouette that will outlast any trend. Thom Browne's pair is made from glossy black acetate and finished with the label's trademark tricolor arm tips. For beauty we made it all about the lips. Since our dress has touches of red, we went for a rich, punchy pout. A high shine color combined with a luxurious glossy look with intense saturation and impressive staying power is Glo Skin Beauty's Cream Glaze Crayon in the shade 'Bloom'. Whether you're wearing this outfit to church on Sunday or for a fun day at the tracks, everyone is sure to fall in love with your stylish 'Herbal Essence'.
