Eleven (11) of Central Kentucky/Lexington’s area, women of color will be honored on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 12p noon- 2pm at the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center, 300 E. Third Street, Lexington, KY. The media and community is invited to a free event that will recognize ten (10) women of color for their excellence in their respective career field and one (1) young woman of color that is an aspiring and emerging leader in the community.

Professional Life Coach, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. have jointly invested in a one-day program with the object of increasing the self-esteem and self-worth of young (teenagers) ladies of color by introducing and sharing other women that look like them who have succeed in various career fields (e.g., medicine, education, arts, etc.).

This one-day enrichment event includes a Resource Fair to connect the youth, parents and attendees to available programs that focus on youth empowerment, a Panel Discussion where the Honorees to share their wisdom and words of encouragement, and concludes with an Award Show hosted by Ms. Ashley C. Smith to acknowledge the eleven (11) Honorees in the following career fields:
