Advertising Sales Associate

TOPS Advertising Sales Representative’s objective is to help TOPS clients grow their business through effective marketing and advertising campaigns, utilizing the TOPS family of media products, including TOPS Magazine, TOPS Digital Solutions, TOPS Website and TOPS Social Media. Sales Representative is responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas, building and maintaining positive client relationships, and bringing fresh energy and commitment to the company.

Grow list of NEW BUSINESS ACCOUNTS

  • Prospect for qualified leads
  • Contact and set up meetings with qualified leads
  • Meet with and explore opportunities on how TOPS can accomplish their marketing goals
  • Create and present proposal options for new clients
  • Work with creative staff on creating impactful spec ad/campaign ideas
  • Close long-term ad contracts and work with clients on ad deadlines/creative/invoicing/etc.
  • Work with other digital sales associates on presenting and closing digital marketing solutions

Manage list of EXISTING ACCOUNTS

  • Meet with clients on a regular basis
  • Present new ideas and opportunities to existing accounts, including digital solutions
  • Remind clients of ad deadlines
  • Work with creative staff to create print/digital ads
  • Invoice and collect payment for ads
  • Renew/Upgrade clients year over year

Other Responsibilities

  • Report to and work with President and Sales Manager on creating monthly goals and game plans for meeting these goals
  • Log sales activity in TOPS CRM software
  • Meet/exceed monthly sales goals for all TOPS properties (print, digital, online and social media)
  • Meet deadlines for ad copy
  • Invoice clients and collect payment for ads
  • Work with staff members on brainstorming new ideas for the company
  • Assist with monthly events, such as TOPS Magazine Preview Parties
  • Participate in outside networking events and opportunities
  • Be an overall TEAM PLAYER and offer help when/where needed!
