Two weeks ago, we issued a social media post about the recently released report titled “The Open Source Collaboration Study: Viewpoints on Security and Privacy in the U.S. and EMEA.” This was a survey directed specifically at members of the IT community.
The goal of the survey was to gauge involvement and reaction to open-source messaging and collaboration solutions and views on security and privacy. In other words, the survey touched on several aspects of the solutions we offer here at SIO.
The results were pretty clear in that IT departments are increasingly dependent on cloud services, while simultaneously being dissatisfied with the notion that future services will be subject to the whims and policies of companies like Microsoft and Google. In short, open source solutions that are flexible enough to be modified for specific company needs will be in high demand.
This is exactly what we have in mind with our Zimbra Collaboration services. Anyone already using Zimbra Zimlets will know what we mean. Allowing IT departments to control what they want to control, while SIO provides higher-level support when necessary, saves companies money and streamlines the entire process. All the while, everyone rests comfortably knowing that SIO is safeguarding security and privacy, just like we always have.
Partnering with SIO supports future company growth by supplying the technical chops you need to stay ahead of the curve, while not forcing extra services and restrictions onto your company’s servers. It just makes sense. Give us a call and find out how we can help make 2015 your best year ever.
