OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: URBAN GRAFFITI

Spring is on the horizon and while we wish that meant immediate warmer temperatures and pure sunshine, we all know how Kentucky weather works. So for our new Outfit of The Week, we wanted a look that screamed Spring-ready, but will also keep us a little toasty. The pieces in this ensemble evokes a downtown vibe and is actually inspired by all the beautiful murals shattered around Lexington. We started things off with a colorful embroidered coat by Temperley London. The printed designs while both colorful and feminine, manage to exude an air of edgy artfulness. Keeping our other pieces on the relaxed side, denim seemed like the obvious choice to mix this statement making coat with. Every well-edited wardrobe needs a pair of classic blue jeans. FRAME's 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' is woven with a hint of stretch that holds its shape, ensuring the most flattering and comfortable fit. To complement the shades in our coat, Topshop Unique's bold yellow camisole was a perfect match. Cut from silk-jacquard, the lustrous fabric is woven with delicate roses, and a pleat at the front to create an elegant flare. To help pull out those pops of pink, we wanted our bag choice to be an eye-catcher. Gucci's 'Marmont' tote is minimally finished with the label's signature interlocking 'GG' gold plaque and has a detachable strap so you can carry it as a top handle style. Getting even more colorful and Spring inspired with our shoes, these Alexandre Birman heels are an art on their own. The 'Lolita' sandals are expertly handcrafted from ribbons of colorful suede and neatly knotted into bows. No outfit is complete of course without a little makeup. Inspired by the graffiti art that colors the cities of the world, YSL Beauty's couture palette is a combination of colors (both audacious and different) designed to bring out your inner urban artist. Whether you're feeling extra artistic or are just longing for warm Spring days, in this look you are sure to leave your mark.
