YMCA provides a variety of camps for children in Central Kentucky. Summer Day Camps are offered on a weekly basis for children 5-12. This camp provides a variety of activities that build teamwork, teach core values, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. This camp also includes weekly themes, field trips, swim time, arts & crafts, sports and more. Camp runs from 7am to 6pm and campers spend the majority time outside. The Lexington Children’s Theater provides Summer Theater School for children from kindergarten to middle school. Camps are broken up by plays and each play has an age that coincides with it. Kids can expect to learn to tell their favorite stories through music, song, art, costumes, dance and other creative outlets as they prepare to perform for you on Friday. The Living Arts and Science Center provides a summer camp led by teaching artists and professional educators. Urban Ninja Project is providing kids a chance to find their inner warrior by learning martial arts, parkour, gymnastics, games, Nerf battles and other challenges. This camp provides a way to keep your 5-14 year old active and moving as they climb fences, leap over obstacles, and have fun making new friends.
