OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: RAMBLING ROSE

By Jesse L Brooks

This week we are paying tribute to our favorite flower - the rose. Known for its blooming beauty, the rose is a perfect representation of grace and femininity.

This latest outfit is loaded with petal power and of course, covet worthy fashion. Designer Gabriela Hearst patterns this 'Jane' shirtdress with an all-over print of roses and newspapers, the latter of which is a nod to her late mother-in-law Austine, a Washington Times-Herald journalist.
First showcased on the Autumn 2018 runway, it's crafted from silk-twill with a smart point collar, D-ring clasps at the coordinating belt, and a pleated midi-length hemline. Next, we added a little fall flare to our feet with some velvety goodness. Malone Souliers’ daring and elegant take on femininity is realised with these 'Halle pumps'. They are handcrafted in Italy with a high stiletto heel, and feature the designer's signature curved side panels and coordianting red leather straps across the pointed toe. When it came to choosing a bag, it was all size. We wanted something that would hold all of our daily essentials, without being so big that it overpowered our look. Alexander McQueen's new season bucket bag exudes effortless cool as smooth black leather is contrasted with striking red details, and a silver-tone chain link strap adds a dose of the label's signature tough luxe appeal. This contemporary take on a classic style can be carried in hand, over the shoulder or crossbody. Bringing a touch of sparkle to the ears are Bloomingdale's stunning stud earrings. These Garnet Cushion and Diamond Stud Earrings in 14K Rose Gold may look small, but they pack a big punch with their eye-catching gleam. We polished off our rosy look with one of the best new mascaras on the market. Nars' Climax formula is an innovative mascara that delivers buildable volume and intense black color in a lightweight, flexible formula that won’t clump or smudge. This ensemble works beautifully for both day or night, and you can rest assured that no matter where decide to debut it, this 'Rambling Rose' look will be desired by all who see it.
