Downtown Paris to Celebrate Ribbon Cuttings of 10 Businesses

NINE NEW BUSINESSES OPENING ON MAIN STREET IN PARIS + A MUSEUM IN THE NEWSPAPER OFFICE!

When: August 21, 2020, 9:45 AM-Noon During the months of March, April, and May, businesses were shut down to the public leaving most of us wondering if Main Street America would still be a thing after the COVID-19 Shutdown ended. While some towns have seen businesses shut their doors others have seen much greater support to local small businesses. Paris was one of those towns.

When most of us returned to work in May, we were not sure what to expect. Fortunately, the Paris Historic Downtown District, was still intact. Soon, building owners were painting their buildings and doing internal renovations. Downtown Paris quickly got a facelift and buildings started looking revived. It was easy to notice the lack of “For Rent” signs on the doors of these buildings, and we soon realized new businesses were renting the buildings. Offering one of Kentucky’s longest and most beautiful Mains Streets, Paris has always had the opportunity for business growth. Now, during a national pandemic, the business growth has boomed!

July and August have been busy months for the Paris Historic Downtown District. The Paris-Bourbon County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the Ribbon Cutting Celebration Day on August 14, 2020, 10:00 AM-Noon. We will be welcoming nine businesses and museum in an existing business to their new Downtown District homes.
