OOTW: In Bloom

Jesse L. Brooks

One of the best staple pieces to have in your wardrobe upon spring's arrival is a stylish jacket. With the season change in Kentucky being warm and breezy one day to cold and brisk the next, having a cover-up that is just the right weight is key; and we figure if you have to layer up, you might as well make a statement. This Richard Quinn trench comes in a colorful floral pattern set against a blanket of black, featuring a pointed collar, a belted silhouette, long sleeves and a flattering mid-length.

With all of the beautiful shades flowing through this design, we wanted to bring out as many as possible with our accessories. We are starting off with a pop of hot pink. The Attico is known for statement-making footwear, and the Amber pumps are an archetypal style that will wow. Made from glossy patent leather, they're set on sculptural stiletto heels and have narrow buckled ankle straps. We kept the color parade going with our bag with the addition of Gucci's Marmont top handle tote in a sunny shade of yellow.

Since this look leans on the botanical side, we got extra garden-inspired with jewelry. These leaf drop earrings by Nak Armstron are constructed from recycled 20-karat rose gold hardware with emerald formed leaf shaped dangles. This look definitely qualifies as daytime glamour, so a pair of oversized sunglasses are a must. We love the exaggerated heptagon shape of these frames by Gucci, crafted in a shade of deep black. We wrapped up this spring-inspired look by taking inspiration from the beautiful red roses on the striking coat, using Lancôme's L'Absolu Rouge Drama Matte Lipstick.

Now that we're able to step out of the house a tad bit, we are more than ready for our outfits to start looking "In Bloom!"
