How do Central Kentuckians and out-of-town Derby guests celebrate the Kentucky Derby in Lexington? Derby Eve Lexington 2016 – the Ultimate Derby Party Celebration. Tickets for the Friday, May 6th celebration are available online at The party starts at 8 p.m. in the five-story James Pepper Distillery Rickhouse, 1170 Manchester Street in downtown Lexington.
The first celebrity announcement from the party is actor and horseman Joe Bailey who starred in ABC television’s 2015 The Bachelor/Bachelor in Paradise. Joe has confirmed he will attend this years’ Derby Eve Lexington party as a VIP guest.
A new sponsor to this years’ party is Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company that produces Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and the brand new Kentucky Race Day IPA which will debut during the Keeneland Spring meet.  KY Ale products will be the exclusive beer available to guests at Derby Eve Lexington 2016.   "We were in the midst of finalizing our planning for the spring package release of Race Day IPA and I was contacted about bringing our product to the Derby Eve Lexington party. It feels like a perfect fit, a company who celebrates the horse and horse racing and a Derby Eve Derby party for charity right here in Lexington," said Jonathan Lang, General Manager of Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company at Town Branch.  Derby Eve Lex guests will have four KY Ale products to choose from. Race Day IPA, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, Kentucky Kölsch and Kentucky Light.
General Admission tickets are $100 each and include an Open Full Bar, Gourmet Coffee Bar, and food by caterer Donna Potter with four courses: Appetizers, Food Stations, Dessert Bar, and Midnight Munchie Buffet.  V.I.P. tickets are $350 each. Reserved V.I.P. tables for eight are $2,500 each. The V.I.P. area bumps up the luxury with a private lounge, a raised viewing area overlooking the dance floor, an Open Expanded Full Bar, G.H. Mumm Champagne, Gourmet Liqueur Coffee Bar, and Gourmet dining by DeRae and Friends catering including Hand-Passed Appetizers, Dinner Stations, Dessert Bar with Made-to-Order Infused Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, and Midnight Munchie Buffet. 
Corporate sponsor UBER offers guests preferred pickup service using code “derbylex16 – valid for first free ride (up to $20) and will donate a portion of all rides from new accounts. Free valet parking will be available.
Proceeds from Derby Eve Lexington benefit Woodford Humane Society, Race for Education, New Vocations Racehorse Adoptions, and Retired Racehorse Project.
