While we usually keep things high on glam, this week we are going for a more relaxed, laid-back look. Pulling inspiration from the 1999 classic film, Varsity Blues, we're doing our own modern take on sportswear inspired style. Saint Laurent's 'Teddy' bomber jacket is part of the label's core collection and has been spotted on top models such as Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid. Inspired by classic varsity styles, it is made from a cozy wool-blend fabric and detailed with white leather trims. It can be paired up with a few other wardrobe staples, like some Rag & Bone distressed jeans and a cotton v-neck tee by Alexander Wang. Keeping our accessories fresh and feminine with a fashion-forward black elastic band replacing traditional laces, Givenchy's Runner Elastic sneakers are kicking their way into urban edits. Since this look is more on the practical side, we chose a bag that's great for a girl on the go. Prada's two-tone crossbody has been crafted from panels of black and pastel-pink textured leather. This piece has a compact silhouette and is threaded with a ribbon-like strap through the large acrylic buckle. Since this isn't exactly an outfit that calls for bling, a pair of Sorrelli stud earrings are the perfect touch of subtle jewelry. As for makeup, Covergirl's new Total Tease mascara offers full, long, and refined lashes. Use the teasing mascara comb for ease and control to tease even the tiniest corner lashes for a full, voluminous look. In this ensemble you'll look and feel like a 90's it-girl, and your 'Varsity Hues' will be the star of the day.
