This week's outfit is all about mixing pieces that you might not think to put together.
While we usually try to not go overboard with accessories, sometimes adding a little edge to a look can make magic happen.
Starting things off is a skirt so blingy, you won't even have to bother with jewelry. Jangling chains of Parisian souvenirs are strung across Balenciaga's Spring 2018 collection – Demna Gvasalia’s wink to the recurring play on typical tourist codes. The detachable charm embellished feature is threaded through the waist eyelets of this monochrome houndstooth pencil skirt – first seen on the Paris runway – and falls at the side with a collection of mismatched keys. Playing it bit more simple with our top, we added a classic tee with a fashionable twist. This white jersey T-shirt by American label Rodarte – known for showing in Paris – features its bold signature slogan in black cursive script. The front reads ‘J'aime Rodarte’ and ‘Je deteste Rodarte’ is emblazoned across the back. Next, we packed an extra punch with our shoes, adding an unexpected rebellious bite. These white leather Balenciaga pumps will make an unforgettable entrance, and an exit that will have people talking for days.  They are made in Italy with exaggerated spikes set into the T-bar fastening and down the back of the heel panel set on a small stiletto heel. Balancing things out with a splash of raw glamour is Mark Cross's 'Grace' box bag. It has been reworked in a smaller size with eye-catching embellishments for the new season. The black satin style is detailed with metallic red lips at the front, alongside a detachable chain shoulder strap and logo-engraved lock that secures with a key. Opting to take our ensemble down the daytime route, chic sunglasses are a must. Pared Eyewear's "Tutti and Fruity" design in gradient acetate with stainless steel trim deliver a perfect twist on everyday black & white. For makeup, it's all about full and fluffy lashes. Chantecaille's high-performance, super-volumizing mascara is better than a pair of falsies. It instantly lengthens, thickens and accentuates the lashes without ever clumping. Outfits like this are fun to throw into your everyday routine to shake things up a bit, and to make a bold statement. Whether you wear this to the office or Sunday brunch, your Parisian chic look will be "off the chain" wherever it shows up.
