BEER OF THE MONTH

GOOSE ISLAND GOOSE 312: URBAN WHEAT ALE

Why Steve Enjoys this Beer….

I love a light easy drinking beer, especially as the weather begins to warm up. But I do not want to sacrifice full flavor to get it.  Goose Island Brewing’s 312 Urban Wheat Ale fits that profile to a tee! 312 is loaded with flavor, it is unfiltered so the full flavor of this wheat beer shines through. It pours a beautiful golden color and as it flows into the glass you begin to notice the hazy, cloudy appearance in the glass that lets you know it is indeed unfiltered. The pour is followed by a zesty and citrusy aroma that lingers as a hint of white bread aroma begins to form toward the end. The taste is light and fruity but still crisp and fresh. 312 is smooth and easy to drink, it makes you want to have another one for sure. I guess that’s why they sell it in 6 packs, right?  The long winter is behind us and Spring has finally sprung so fire up the grill, grab a beer and  get out and enjoy the sun! Cheers!
