This Cajun & Creole Cafe is the newest addition to the quickly growing food options on Lexington’s north side. Robbie Morgan, creator and former director of Crave Lexington Food + Music festival is excited to bring this tasty and friendly joint to town. J. Gumbo’s started as a Louisville-based concept and is still owned by the family who opened the first establishment.
Their menu features classic Cajun and Creole dishes like Étouffèe, Drunken Chicken and Jambalaya alongside Morgan’s own daily handcrafted and seasonal Kentucky Proud specials. Morgan has partnered with Rock House Brewing (beer coming winter 2018), Sav’s Piment Hot Sauce and Sorella Gelateria to bring more local flavors to the table. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu items with affordable prices, quick service and in a cozy environment.
